Andrea Russo, MD, PhD is the Medical Director of the Gruppo Refrattivo Italiano, with clinics in Brescia and Bergamo, Italy, where he specializes in advanced refractive and cataract surgery.
He is also a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Brescia.Previously, he developed and patented a smartphone-based retinal imaging system.
Dr. Russo has served as a consultant to Staar Surgical and Zeiss Meditech, authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications, and delivered numerous international lectures.
He has been awarded several research grants during his career.
